If you have followed me for a while, you will know I am partial to a bit of white paint. Sadly for me, Mat is not, which means every time we go to decorate a room, we usually have a difference in opinions. I want white, Mat wants a dark grey and then I usually wear him down and we end up with an off white/ pale grey ha ha!
With paint colours been one of my most frequently asked questions, I thought anywhere in our home which I have touched with a paint brush I would let you know what paint this is and the shade. I would always still recommend getting a sample (not only because I don’t want you to blame me if you don’t like it) but light can make such a difference. When I started trying to pick colours to start I really struggled to find the right bright and warm tones, I remember reading Farrow and Ball – How Light Affects a Colour which I found useful and words it a lot better than I could, so take a look if you haven’t found the right shades.

List of all the paints used below:-
To save money, for some of the paint we have used on woodwork, I had the Farrow and Ball shades made up. I got this done at our local decorating centre, using Johnstones and this almost halved the price.
Also anything I have used on woodwork, I personally don’t like a high gloss finish. Therefore depending on the brand they name this differently, but I always chose more of a flat finish with low sheen.

This is not a sponsored post, sadly for my bank account, we bought all of this paint. These are just some of the brands and shades I love and used in our home.
Just love your house. So pleased I’m not the only one who loves various shades of white. I can’t do colour at all. Just about to paint my bedroom furniture and having difficulty with the colour. I have used the Farrow and Ball about colour guidelines. and now know I need to stay light and white. Whittling it down to Wimbourne White.
Thanks for the inspiration.
